On Saturday, Jan 21st Downtown San Diego will become the site of a historic demonstration as thousands of people march the streets in unity for women’s rights. But on Sunday, Jan 22nd, when everyone has returned to their homes and the streets are quiet, where does our community stand on women’s rights and issues that affect us?

The San Diego Women’s March is proud to partner with these outstanding organizations. Not just because they are showing support for the march, but because they have been showing support for women and the issues that affect us all along. And we know that when women win, we all win. They will continue to fight, perhaps more fiercely than ever, and they need your strength.

Planned Parenthood of the Pacific Southwest

We stand with Planned Parenthood. And on January 21st, Planned Parenthood will stand with us.

Mission: “The mission of Planned Parenthood of the Pacific Southwest is to ensure broad public access to reproductive health care through direct service, education, and advocacy. Planned Parenthood believes in the fundamental right of each individual to manage his or her fertility, regardless of the individual’s income, marital status, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, age, national origin, or residence. We believe that respect and value for diversity in all aspects of our organization are essential to our well-being. We believe that reproductive self-determination must be voluntary and preserve the individual’s right to privacy. We further believe that such self-determination will enhance the quality of life, family relations, and population stability.”

Moms Demand Action

Mission: Moms Demand Action supports the 2nd Amendment, but we believe common-sense solutions can help decrease the escalating epidemic of gun violence that kills too many of our children and loved ones every day. Whether the gun violence happens in urban Chicago, suburban Virginia, or rural Texas, we must act now on new and stronger gun laws and policies to protect our children.
Moms Demand Action envisions a country where all children and families are safe from gun violence. Our nonpartisan grassroots movement has grown to include a chapter in every state across the country. We are educating, motivating, and mobilizing supporters to take action that will result in stronger laws and policies to save lives.
